Whether you need a webcam for Online Classes or your laptop webcam is not colorful as it used to be, check out our pick of best webcam under 1000 to get a high-quality camera for your needs.
Now working from home has become an essential part of people’s lives. Many companies have already adapted work from home as a regular thing. But this new work environment needs accessories such as a laptop, a good camera, and computer equipment to stay connected with their employers and clients.
Normally, most laptops come with an integrated webcam, and if it’s decent then you don’t need to upgrade your accessories. However, if the inbuilt webcam delivers blurry images with awkward exposure then getting a separate webcam is the right thing to do. And best of all, it won’t cost you much.
With a budget of 1000 rupees, you’ll get a decent webcam that produces nice images with standard color, and great exposure. Apart from this, cheap webcams are portable, easy to set up, and an excellent choice not just for Online meetings, but also for taking selfies and for kids to attend school.
Best Webcam Under 1000
1) Zebronics Zeb-Crystal Clear Web Camera
2) Quantum QHM495LM 6 Light Webcam
3) HP w100 480P 30 FPS Digital Webcam
5) Zinq Full HD 1080P 2.1 Megapixel Webcam
1) Zebronics Zeb-Crystal Clear Web Camera
Zebronics Zeb-Crystal is an affordable, flexible, and powerful webcam integrated with numerous features that one expects from a decent webcam. Unlike any premium webcam, it won’t come with modern features such as autofocus or a large lens for better exposure. And a typical video call attending won’t need it.
The need of normal users ends at the decent picture quality and Zebronics Zen-Crystal delivers just that. So Splurging on a premium webcam is not a wise decision as long as you won’t be using extra features.
The webcam has a 3P lens and supports a resolution of 640 X 480 pixels. The picture resolution is fair, but not standard. During my testing, it happens to deliver admirable picture quality with minor blur and dark dots.
Zebronics equipped it with a microphone and it does a good job as long as you stay in range. Although it is a good microphone for the price, I won’t recommend it for a long time if you are a speaker during meetings. The audio produced by the integrated mic is average and doesn’t filter out background noise. So, it is better to use the mic of your laptop or PC.
The design of the webcam is fairly strong and rugged. Further, it has a clip design, so you can easily clip the webcam on your monitor, laptop screen, or smartphone. It supports a USB interface to connect.
Apart from this, you’ll also get Auto White balance and Night vision features that work perfectly in a low-light environment. There is also a pro version of the webcam with better picture quality and extra features, but it will cost you more than 1000 rupees.
Overall, Zebronics Zeb-Crystal is a value-for-money product that offers many things at a very cheap price.
2) Quantum QHM495LM 6 Light Webcam
The Quantum webcam is an excellent choice for the best webcam under 1000. It is beautifully designed, has all the features you expect from a budget webcam, and also looks good on a laptop or PC.
Rather than Clip mounting, Quantum provides Pivot mounting that allows you to adjust the angle of the camera without much effort easily. When it comes to build quality, it is not the strongest webcam in the segment, but surely is portable, easy to fit, and importantly a value-for-money product.
It delivers images with a maximum of 640 X 480 pixels at 30 FPS. Further, it has a 58-degree wide angle which is enough considering that you always sit in the center of the camera and not at the corner of your PC.
Best of all, it comes with 6 built-in lights that help produce better images during the night. This feature is also helpful when you work in a dark environment. There is also a Snap Shot button for taking steady pictures or selfies.
The webcam supports a USB interface that is 1 meter long. The focus range is 4 cm to infinity. However, it is just the highlighted feature by the company it doesn’t exactly deliver what’s promising.
The webcam is compatible with all the latest OS and software such as Youtube, Twitch, and others. While it delivers decent images, we don’t recommend it to stream content. It has limited pixel resolution so the outcome result would be below average, and that’s not advisable, especially when you try to build a community.
Quantum QH495LM is a great pick if you prioritize Zoom Meetings and video conferencing.
3) HP w100 480P 30 FPS Digital Webcam
If you’re after a premium webcam with a strong build, eye-catching design, and superior picture quality, then the HP w100 is a top-notch choice.
The HP webcam is designed to deliver a good quality video experience with clear and details images. It has a maximum resolution of 640 X 480 which seems low when you look at other HD cameras. But Under 1000 rupees, you rarely find a webcam that can render HD videos.
So, it has 480p picture quality, but it doesn’t mean you’ll get blurry or low light pictures, to my amazement, when I used this webcam, I found video calling quite bright and clear, and for a second, I forgot that it’s a 480p webcam.
Further, HP offers a 60-degree wide view angle that captures images even if you won’t sit in the center position. To adjust the webcam, it has a Swivel adjustment that lets you adjust the webcam up or down.
The webcam’s microphone is way better than any webcam we have encountered at 1000 rupees. Not just it produces high-quality audio, but it also isolates unnecessary background noise to produce crystal clear audio.
It has done a great job in isolating noise, but don’t assume that it completely removes noise and starts conferencing calls in a loud-noise environment. It is a noise-isolating webcam, not noise-canceling. Just like any budget webcam, it comes with a wired connection and follows the pattern of plug-and-play.
While it is not an ideal choice for recording videos for YouTube or any other live streaming service, if budget is an issue for you, then the HP w100 is a good choice to start your streaming journey.
4) Tizum ZW79- HD 720p Webcam
The Tizum ZW79-HD is cheaper and comes with more features for the price you pay. It has a 720p webcam that delivers good images with decent color reproduction. Though, it is not accurate.
The built-in camera has 5 layers of glass for better, clearer, and more vivid images. The auto white balance technology ensures that pictures seem bright and colorful even when you record in a low-light environment. With this feature, the webcam result would be impressive and detailed so your colleague can see your face precisely, or if you want to show them some important details from a whiteboard or handwritten notes, it will render them clearly. So your team members can easily see what you want to present.
Tizum equipped it with autofocus and auto light adjustment to produce crystal clear and bright images. It also has noise isolating microphone that minimizes background noise and offers clear audio quality. Apart from it, it also features echo-canceling technology that helps the microphone to deliver rich stereo audio suitable for streaming and online meetings.
Best of all, it has 110 degree of wide viewing angle, which means it can capture more details and covers many areas surrounding you.
It comes with a clip-on design that can be easily clamped on your PC screen. The webcam is also adjustable, so you can capture scenes from anywhere. It is compatible with all the latest OS, and you can connect it with a USB wired connection.
The Tizum ZW79 webcam is an excellent value-for-money product and delivers high-quality pictures making it a top-class choice for the best webcam under 1000 rupees.
5) Zinq Full HD 1080P 2.1 Megapixel Webcam
The best webcam under 1000 rupees comes with 480p or 720p resolution, but the Zinq webcam can render images with 1080p resolution. Be aware that the resolution is FHD, but the output from the webcam doesn’t look like FHD resolution. The images seem like they were captured from a 480p webcam. The webcam supports 30 FPS during video recording.
The lenses are quite strong, though, it comes with decent sensibility, high fidelity, and high dynamic range. Apart from this, it has automatic light and color correction and light adjustment that deliver exceptional image quality during low light.
The inbuilt mic is surprisingly good and delivers crisp audio even if you are in a noisy environment. The wide view angles cover most of the room area and allow you to include many peoples in one frame with a high-quality calling experience. Though, we don’t recommend it for meetings where presentation details are crucial.
It comes with clip mounting, which is detachable and fits perfectly on your laptop or monitor screen. The wideness of the clip makes it easier to fit on bulky or large border monitors.
Overall, the Zinq webcam offers high picture quality, produces decent audio, and has good adjustment settings that give a good video calling or Zoom meetings experience.
Final words
The best webcam under 1000 rupees is great for normal video conferencing and streaming. But if you want superior video quality with great depth and clarity, it’s better to upgrade your budget or wait for the price drop of a premium webcam.
