The smartwatches industry become massively popular in India with an acceleration in customers and drastic change in consumer behavior to pick any wearable. The kind of functionality which usually shipped into premium watches is now found in budget smartwatches, even though they are not accurate measures, for any normal consumer, they do the job just fine.
One name that really stands out for its high-quality products at low cost is ‘Noise’. Noise is in the Indian market for more than five years and sold thousands of wearables across India. Every year Noise introduces smartwatches in India for both budget and premium users. While many design changes and functionality upgrades are there, one thing that never changes was serving premium functionality at an affordable cost. Whether you pick Noise Smartwatch or Noise headphones, they offer more than what you pay for.
The Noise ColorFit Pro 3 Alpha is a premium iteration of the much-loved Colorfit lineup. Most Colorfit models recognize as entry-level smartwatches with limited functionality to justify the price, however, the Noise Colorfit Pro 3 Alpha cost slightly more than other Colorfit models but is equipped with all the necessary functionality one expects from a smartwatch.

Design & Colors
The ColorFit Pro 3 incorporates a rectangular shape dial inspired by Apple watches. Likewise any budget smartwatch, Noise hasn’t made any noticeable change and sticks with what’s already works in the market. While made entirely from plastic, it got a superb and strong build quality. The smartwatch features a thick design with decent bezels around the display.
Bezels are filled with black colors, so if you want the illusion of a bezel-less profile, just set the watch face with a dark background. There is a rotate button available for many functions with a crown design. The crown-inspired button looks absolutely fantastic and allows hassle-free navigation.
Measuring 4.66 X 3.86 X 1.19 cm and weight 41 grams the Noise ColorFit Pro 3 Alpha is a slim and light watch from its siblings. The 22mm strap is made of Silicone and matches the color of a smartwatch. It has a subpar build quality and for some people, wearing it for long won’t be comfortable if your skin gets irritation. Though, it is easy to swap straps and attach any design you like. With 41g weight, it feels lightweight and easy to wear while walking, sleeping, and running.
The Noise ColorFit Pro 3 Alpha offers 5 different colors including Lime Green, Jet Black, Navy Gold, Rose Pink, and Mist Grey. All iterations look absolutely gorgeous and easily grab other people’s attention when you wear it on your wrist.
Certified with a 5ATM rating, the Alpha is suitable for swimming, jogging, and low-pressure water activities but unfit for diving or swimming in salty water. The smartwatch avoids any damage from dust particles, sand, and dirt. You can use it while showering too.
The scratch on the display and side are easily visible, so be careful before using them on scratch-full activities.
Display
The 1.69-inch display offers plenty of real estate to view time, analyze health tracking, navigate through maps, and more. Displays with a roomy screen are always better for anyone with medium to large hands. They fit firmly and look really good on wrest. For people with small hands, it looks bulky, but looks are subjective and if you like a big-size smartwatch on your wrist you can go for it.
The display is powered by TFT technology, so it’s not good as AMOLED but produces sharp images with clear text. The TFT display includes 500 peaks of brightness ample for indoor and outdoor usage.
It’s obvious that it’s touch supported for scrolling and swapping. The touch is smooth and reliable but sometimes misses the quick touch command. During the time I spent with the smartwatch, I found very little lag, but I wish the touch sensor could be better. The text, images, and graphics look colorful, bright, and vivid with very little color washout.
Although the display is bright, it is slightly dim under direct sunlight when set between 40-80%, especially when you walk or seat on a summer afternoon. If you set full brightness, it greatly impacts battery life.
Performance and Health Tracking
Smartwatches are the sweet spot between smartphones and fitness bands. With the smartwatch, you can monitor your fitness activities and get direct notifications from your smartphone. But the real question is how fast, reliable, and accurate smartwatches execute this job.
The Noise ColorFit Pro 3 Alpha is designed in a way to alert your immediately when you get a notification and monitor all your health activities, even though we recommend data only for reference, they are reliable enough to know what going on with your body.
The Alpha track and monitors activities from the sensor that lies behind the dial and sync matrics on the app. Some metrics can be accessed directly from the smartwatch such as steps, running time, breathing reminders, and more. Noise also offers 100+ sports modes to pick activities and track measurements accordingly.
When we talked about health activities, the Noise Alpha 3 can track Blood Oxygen, temperature, stress, sleep, and 24/7 heart rate. Moreover, it can track the menstrual cycle.
Let me be clear, many measurements are not completely accurate even when it comes to fitness activities. I have walked 1000 steps wearing both Apple Watch and Noise ColorFit Pro 3 Alpha and the results were 1003 and 1065 steps, respectively. While running, the watch doesn’t have an inbuilt GPS to measure distance, you have to rely on an app GPS and need to bring a smartphone every time you run. I also found sports mode is just a marketing strategy and tracks inaccurate data.
This concern is with every budget smartwatch, but after years in the smartphone market, Noise could have done a better job than any other budget brand.
As we mentioned before tracking and monitoring can be used only for reference and not for an actual medical condition.
App Support & Watch Face
Pairing the smartwatch with a mobile was a hassle-free experience. After unboxing the smartwatch you need to power on and download the ‘Noise Fit Assist App’ from the App Store or play store. Open the app and pair your device with the App. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.
The Noise Fit Assist app integrates with a simple interface that can be customized as per your preference and shows all your data in one place. Even though I found minor lag and occasional crashes, it is still better than some of the fitness apps available in the market.
The App has a simple layout and many customize options to lets you choose which tracking info you need in the smartwatch. It also shows your sleep time, breathing, and how many calories you burned on a daily basis. While not all the measurements are accurate, they are far better than any smartwatch in this segment.
The Home page shows Calories, walking, and running track by default. Along with it it also shows steps, sleep, and heart rate graph to show your progress or analyze overall monitoring data. The steps and other tracking data can be analyzed on a day, week, month, and yearly basis.
The sleep monitoring data shows how many hours you sleep with deep sleep, light sleep, REM, and awake time. It also indicates when you went to sleep and when you woke up. Apart from this, the smartwatch knows when you are stressed out and shows your stress level in the app. The ambient sound level indicates when you are in a noisy environment and if the noise level is normal or not for your health.
Right after the health menu, there is an exercise menu for monitoring running and walking, but it doesn’t have an inbuilt GPS, so you have to use a smartphone GPS for accurate tracking.
You can customize or change watch faces directly from the app and change the selected watch face by the rotating crown. The App is still constantly getting updates so better measurements and sports modes will be available in the future.
Battery
Noise promises up to 5 days of battery life on normal usage while up to 25 days on standby time. My straight answer would be it depends. Any smartphone battery life depends on many factors such as brightness, activity, and calling functionality.
Without calling functionality the battery can last for more than 3 days, but if you frequently use calling, it will not last more than 1.5 days. The brightness level is another factor that has a massive impact on battery life. If you set the brightness level at its maximum settings, it will last for just 2 days, but setting brightness between 40-60% will give you 3 days of battery backup.
The Noise Colorfit Pro 3 Alpha takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to fully charge its 300mAH battery.
Should you buy it
By incorporating functionality like voice calling, quick charging, in-built storage for 80+ songs, and a voice assistant the Noise Colorfit Pro 3 Alpha brings many features at an affordable cost. But things like not having AMOLED display and Always On display make customers go away towards other brands.
Pros
- Attractive and eye-catching design
- Long battery backup
- Multiple tracking features
- Smooth and reliable touch
- Bright and colorful display
Cons
- No Always-on display
- AMOLED display would be better
